Was anyone out there had any success getting one of these to work with
Ghostscript 5.5 ? I can print ascii, but any attempt to print the PS
test page results in "Unrecoverable error: rangecheck in
.putdeviceprops"... and so on...

I got my aging BJC-4000 working by commenting out the "color" line in my
postscript.cfg as such:

...
#COLOR=dBitsPerPixel=3
...

Try it. I use RH5.1. Not sure if you are but there is a bug somewhere in
the printer routines.
