Sanyo 3-Disk ("Jukebox") CD-Rom

Sanyo 3-Disk ("Jukebox") CD-Rom

Post by Carey Bunk » Sat, 23 Sep 1995 04:00:00

I have a Gateway 2000 P5-120 which is delivered with a Sanyo 3-Disk
("Jukebox") CD-Rom.  This CD-Rom uses an ATAPI interface and I can mount
a single disk but I'd like to know if it is possible to mount all three
disks (i.e., and have something like /dev/cdrom1, /dev/cdrom2, /dev/cdrom3).
Anyone know if this is possible?

1. Installing Sanyo 3-Disk 4x IDE CD-ROM

Hi everybody!

I am trying to install linux on my Gateway 2000 P5-120XL
and I encountered some problems with my hardware.
First of all I have a Sanyo quad speed 4 disk cd rom
changer that uses a IDE controller.  I choose the IDE cd
rom configuration but that package seems not to work.
I would be very glad if someone could help me.  I would
like to be able to use my cd rom drive under linux if
possible.

Another problem I will accounter once I solved the first
one is that I have a ATI GX Mach 64 PCI Video Card but all
that I saw listed for the XFree86 was the option for a Mach
32 video card.  Is there the configuration for the March 64
somewhere on the net or can I use the March 32
configuration without any trouble?

For your help I would be very thankful
  Claus
