You must boot with a floppy, mount root= the hard disk, and simply
rerun the command "lilo." It may be possible you incorrectly setup
lilo during install.

using grub instead of lilo will make your life easier.
Also use 9.1 instead of 9.0

Yes, grub is easier to deal with and does not need "installation" after
each minor change of its .conf-file.

1. L 99 99 99 error while booting
Hi,
I have a problem with lilo. After updating to suse 8.1 (and obviously
updating lilo and the boot sector), i get an error message. It looks like
"L 99 99 99 99..." (some rows with "99") and occurs while booting. Does
anybody know how to solve my problem?
