When you say "boot manager" is this OS/2?
ConfigXF86 is in /usr/X11R6/lib/ConfigXF86.  Should also be a link in
/usr called X11 which will point to the version of X11 you are running
(X11R6 in my example).

1. HELP! installing slackware

Hello,

I am very new to operating systems (or at least installing them)  I have
read the HOWTO installation guide about 5 times and have read the book on
installation and getting started about three times.  I have managed to
re-partition the drive and make the boot and root disks, where I seem to be
getting stuck is at the login It says scsi: 0hosts and now I am suposed to
type in the information since it is not detecting it.

For some reason this part totally eludes me.  What am I suposed to type.  I
know that it is dependant on my system, but is there a howto file giving
basic instructions about what type of info needs to be entered?

I am 90% sure that my hardware is compatable so I don't think that that is
the reason, but I am using a packard bell 486sx25, soundblaster compatible
sound card, VESA compatible driver, a compatible cdrom and so forth.  I am
just a lost newbie trying to find my way.  Any help would be greatly
appreciated.

BIG thanks to anyone who responds!
