How to use 37GB IDE-disk?

Hi!

I have bought the IBM 37GB disk and it works fine
on my RH6.0.
But I cant use the entire disk. This is what df says:

Filesystem           1k-blocks      Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/hdc1             31220886  26033598   3549463  88% /home

Only about 32 gig.
How do I get ahold of the rest???

You do not. Manufacturers use figures which maximise the disk size (ie
their GB= 10^9 bytes, rather than the more usual in computer circles
2^30 bytes.) (which would bring you up to 31970187264 useable bytes.
Also part of the disk is taken up by formatting, inodes,
superblocks, etc.
Whether 5GB is "too much" for this I do not know.
Also, Linux reserves some of the file room for root,
which is why 26033598/31220886 is not equal to .88
