Hi Gang:

Has anyone out there seen or heard of a twain (Scanner) driver for
our beloved OS. Of course
the Scanport model SQ4800 came with drivers for M$, but that's it. Does
anybody know where I might get
the Specs for the driver if a out-of-the-box driver is unavailable?

The Linux equivalent would be SANE.
You can find it by way of www.gnome.org.

The Linux equivalent of TWAIN is SANE (Scanner Access Now Easy).
Check:

http://www.mostang.com/sane/

For specs, you may have to contact the manufacturer; you should pass
the info you get (if any) on to the SANE developers.
