HP DeskWriter C and Linux

Does anyone know if I can connect a HP DeskWriter C (for a Mac) to my
Linux box.

My HP DeskWriter has one of those Mac serial DIN8 connectors.  It can
either be connected directly to the Mac via an Imagewriter II cable or
via a LocalTalk connection.  It is currently connected to my wife's Mac
via LocalTalk.

Can I connect this printer to my serial port?  What will I need?  I have
a DIN8 to DB25 cable that is used to connect a mac to a modem.  I would
imagine that I would need a null modem adapter also, is this correct?

My ideal situation would be to have the printer connected to my Linux
box and use netatalk and ghostscript to serve this printer over
EtherTalk as a postscript printer.

I do have netatalk installed and working.  I don't want to pursue this
if it is not going to work.  Your suggestions will be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks Guys and Gals

I think  that all QuickDraw based mac printers must be
used on an apple (or something that supports quickdraw).

I am not aware of any quickdraw for linux stuff.

My I suggest getting Stylescript.. it let's a mac
inkjet print postscript and be shared as a postscript
printer on appletalk.  so your linux box could print
postscript to the mac.  There is also ghostscript for Mac
but I never got it to work well.

Well I connected it to /dev/ttyS3 and set the port to 19200 and it
prints text ok.  I just need to get ghostscript working.

I do not believe that this printer is "QuickDraw"  I believe that it
uses HP's PCL page description language.

Ok, I stand corrected.  HP's web site states that the HP Deskwriter C
does not have PCL support.
