I have a amd 486/dx4/100, with 8 meg of ram, 330 meg hard
drive.
booting rehat 4.2, and the 2.2.7 kernel. there is no sndconfig
for 4.2
and i can't load newer RPMs (Error, cant load data type 9 (or
something
like that)). I have xaudio for glibc5 on it. I also have a
Avance
Logic ALS200 based sound board (cheapo from an old pentium 60)
that i
would like to get working. everything works but the sound.
there is no
X installed, just basic C, C++, and development librares from
the RH4.2
release. the 2.2.7 kernel source is installed and i can compile
it. I
just dont know what to use. Any help is greatly appreciated.
BTW, plans for it are a car mp3 player. I have HD44780 (44870?)
LCDs
(1x16 chars) if anyone is interested in buying a few.
