by ever shoot yourself in the foot?
After building a 1.2.12 kernel and installing as /vmlinuz doing some
editing of rc.inet* files I now can't get into my computer.
Upon entering a vaild login (eg root) I get
YP: server for domain xyz not responding, still trying
plus the occassional rpc error message
/etc/hosts is setup ok, as it /var/yp/xyz /etc/nisdomainname but
ypserv is not running and starting it from bash# does no good
I tried booting as linux single which gets me bash# prompt but I can't
vi the rc.inet* files as the system is read only
What I got
/vmlinuz version 1.2.12
/vmlinuz.old version 1.2.8
msdos small dos partition
