Identifying USR modem

Post by Kirk Bubu » Sun, 31 Dec 1899 09:00:00

The 3com site is a maze.  I rarely find what I'm looking for.  They
have improved it recently, but it still sucks.  They, like IBM, love
to have at least three part numbers for the same piece of equipment.
My V.Everthing 00001868 and my ISDN 3ComImpact IQ don't exist to their
"site wide" search engine.

1. Identifying USR modem

This may not be the best place to ask, but does anybody know how to
identify USR modems by model/product numbers?  The USR/3Com site is
worthless.  I need to know so that I can set up my ppp.

The model # is 0266 and the product # is 550 5315 A (at least I think
it's the product #).  The modem is pretty old, Copyright 1994.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,
Dave
