When I boot I get this
L 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
00 00 00
00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 , etc, etc
It looks like a dump of the boot sector? My LILO is installed in the MBR
on
a Western Digital 1.200Gb. My drive has > 1024 cylinders which I qualify
with
an append statement. My /etc/lilo.conf looks like this.
# Start LILO global section
append="hd=2484,16,63"
boot = /dev/hda
#compact
#delay = 5
vga = normal
ramdisk = 0 # paranoia setting
# End LILO global section
# Linux bootable partition config begins
image = /boot/vmlinuz
root = /dev/hda1
label = Linux
read-only # Non-UMSDOS filesystems should be mounted read-only for
checking
# Linux bootable partition config ends
Also when ever I try to run /usr/sbin/lilo I get
geo_comp_addr : ....(2084 > 1024). Then I ran it with -l and it ran but
then
when I tried to boot I got the above L 00 00 00 stuff.
So what am I doing wrong.
