Slackware. 1 cd and works just fine

Try Tomsrtbt.  
The most GNU/Linux you can fit on one floppy disk
Its a great diagnostic tool too.  Check it out.

1. Best Linux Dist. for an end user Desktop

It looks like I'll be putting together a Linux box for use mainly as a
internet client and word processing (probably using Star Office).  I'll be
handling the administration (mainly via telnet) but the day to day operation
needs to be as simple as possible for a non-technical user.  I'm considering
SuSe and Red Hat due to the fact that both come with manuals specific to that
distribution.

I'd like to here from anyone who has used SuSe (or better yet both RH & SuSe)
in this type of setting.  I'd also be interested in any other advice or
opinions on using Linux in this admittedly Windows-ish application.
