Upgrade RH 6.0 to RH 7.2

Hi group,
Can anyone out there point me in the right direction regarding what it takes
to upgrade from RH6.0 to RH7.2?

1) Backup all your data
2) fresh Install 7.2
3) Restore your data

I'm wondering why not....

1. Backup data
2. Upgrade from 6.0 to 7.x
3. Make necessary changes i.e. ipchains > iptables
4. Assess the results and if necessary...
5. Delete it all and fresh install 7.x
6. Restore data.

I upgraded 6.1 to 7.1 with very little problem. So far only ip_forward fail
to keep it's value to enable routing of dialin connections.

I'm happy with the 7.1 upgrade funtionality.

Which is exactly what that was to represent... if using ipchains then stop
them in favor of iptables...
