mouse problem,ps2,G6200

Hi, I'm trying to install the new slackware on
my Gateway G6-200. The machine is new to me so
I haven't had Linux on it yet. Everything is OK
except the mouse won't work. It is a PS/2 as far
as I can tell. The rest of the machine is SCSI.
I rebuild the kernel with PS/2 support I think
but that dfidn't seem to help. I'm sure I'm
missing something simple...
What should /dev/mouse be point to? It is
currently at ttyS0. My goal is
to get XInside to work. It comes up (the demo)
but the curser won't move.

Thanks!

I think /dev/mouse should be pointing to /dev/psaux.  That's what it is w/ my PS/2.
