The learning curve for linux can be pretty steep, windows is much easier to learn. Windows protects the user from the system and so, it's somewhat harder to mess it up. Problem is, if you do mess it up, there is seldom a way short of complete re-install to fix t. Oh well, your choice.

You have to know how to operate fdisk. You have to first delete logical drives, then delete the partitiion with linux. You might try something like Partition Commander or Partition Magic. These are graphical and pretty easy to use compared to fdisk.

Good luck

1. Creating a boot Disk for RH5 when DOS and RH linux installed.

Please help!
I have a Pentium machine with 800 Meg, 250 Meg on the first partition
where DOS is installed.  I have installed Linux on the remainder which I
installed with the Red Hat installation diskette/CD.

Currently when I reboot, all I see is DOS.  My understanding is that if
I can get a copy of my Linux image file I can use loadlin.exe from DOS
to run Linux, though I can only get the image if I run Linux first!  So
I need a boot disk that will run Linux (this is sufficient for my
purposes).

How do I do this?  I have seen advice which recommends using 'rawrite'
but the image file on the distribution CD is the installation image!
Bloody thing keeps trying to re-install everytime I boot.

Where or how could I get a bootdisk which would run the version of Linux
installed on my hard-disk rather than the instalation image?

Thanks in advance,
