Voodoo 3 and Xconfigurator. What am I to do 8) HELP NEEDED PLEASE

Hi

If anyone can help me with this I'll really be very grateful. I recently
installed
linux because if at all possible I want to see if I can get rid of
windows altogether. Now my problem is this.

Firstly. I recently bought a Voodoo 3 card. I tried to install it while
installing Redhat 6.0 but it wasn't there. So I was forced to choose
a generic card.

Afterwards I went to a link which I got from the 3Dfx site to go and
download the files there. I did download it but when I tried to use
Xconfigurator to select the card which is what I asumed I should have done.
I received the following error message "Segmetation Fault. Core Dumped "
I did remove the files I installed but that problem persists. Is there a way
of
fixing this.

And where can I get drivers that would work for my card? Thanks for all the
help in
advance.

Did you try to update your Xfree86?  The version with 6.0 is one short of
support for voodoo.  You need 3.3.4 at least.  It took me a couple of tries.
I installed the new Xfree, rpm -Uvh'd the 3dfx-SVGA and 3dfx-Setup files.
Then I ran xf86cfg and picked SVGA.  When I ran X, I did the XF86Setup,
where on the cards list I picked Voodoo3.  Hope this helps.

1. Need help setting up DOS [PLEASE help]

I need help from a DOS knowledgeable person.

I've been running Linux for over a year now and am interested in setting up a
small DOS partition on my 2nd hard drive.  Anyway, I'm fairly DOS ignorant and
don't want to blow away any of my linux partitions with any stupid mistakes.

My current setup is :

hda1 -> ext2fs
hda2 -> swap
hdb1 -> ext2fs
hdb2 -> ext2fs

I'd like to switch the hdb2 partition to a dos partition.  I know how to use
linux's fdisk to do so but I'm not sure of how to format just the hdb2
partition.  From what I can tell, the dos format command doesn't allow me to
specify which partition of which disk I want to format.  What should I do?

Should I just type format c:?  Maybe d:?  I've searched everywhere for answers
and haven't had any luck.  I'm hoping a kind soul will help me with this
problem.

Thanks in advance,
