I advise using the latest 2.1.* kernel, plus the current PCMCIA
package (3.0.3).  You don't mention using any PCMCIA package at all,
so I suspect that's your problem.

Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit
X-Newsreader: Microsoft Outlook Express 4.72.3110.5
X-Mimeole: Produced By Microsoft MimeOLE V4.72.3110.3

I too am having trouble with the card.  The 3c575 is a full 32bit enabled
CardBus device.  I'm running RedHat 5.1 distribution.  Default install
doesn't include the 3c575_cb.o driver, need to get this from the PCMCIA
3.0.4 package.

After I did this, I found that system detects the card, but it keeps
thinking that it's running 100baseT4.  I've tried to force 10baseT using
ifport, but again no results.

I've pretty much given up and switched to the 3c589 (Etherlink III) 16bit
card instead.
