partition problem

Checking my partition table (with linux fdisk v2.1),
I find the following problem:

''Disk /dev/hda: 64 heads, 63 sectors, 1023 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 4032 * 512 bytes

   Device Boot   Begin    Start      End   Blocks   Id  System
/dev/hda1            1        1      507  1022080+   6  DOS 16-bit >=32M
/dev/hda2          508      508      540    66528   82  Linux swap
/dev/hda3   *      541      541     1023   973728   83  Linux native
Partition 3 has different physical/logical endings:
     phys=(1021, 63, 63) logical=(1022, 63, 63)
Partition 3: previous sectors 4124735 disagrees with total 4120703
62 unallocated sectors''

'e2fsck /dev/hda3'
does not reveal any problem however and the system runs fine.

What is this problem due to? Should I correct it?

I believe it is somehow related to these operations I did:

1) I deleted my dos partition (from MSDOS with fdisk)
2) I made a new primary dos partition (I let the system choose the
greatest possible size)
3) I formatted the new dos partition (with MSDOS format)
....
Finally, from linux I changed back my linux partition to be the
only bootable one.

Any suggestion?
Thanks!!

Claudio

P.S.
A more detailed situation given by cfdisk is:
Partition Table for /dev/hda

         ---Starting---      ----Ending----   Start Number of
 # Flags Head Sect Cyl   ID  Head Sect Cyl   Sector  Sectors
-- ----- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ------- ---------
 1  0x00    1    1    0 0x06   63   63  506      63   2044161
 2  0x00    0    1  507 0x82   63   63  539 2044224    133056
 3  0x80    0    1  540 0x83   63   63 1022 2177280   1947456
 4  0x00    0    0    0 0x00    0    0    0       0         0

Here cylinders seems to start from 0 and not from 1 as reported by fdisk
above

It's a problem.  I can't guess what caused it.

As long as things are working, I suggest you leave it alone.
