Thought I'd try for help one more time with my problem. I am trying
to install the compressed libraries from sunsite on my Linux Slackware 2.3
box. I am obivously doing something wrong, because everytime I try it, I end
up having to reinstall my entire Linux setup. If someone could give me
step-by-step instructions on how to do this, I would be most grateful.

1. Help with first time slackware install..
OK, here is the deal. I found an old 386 collecting dust in my attic, so
for lack of anything better to do on a sunday night I decided to try and
put Linux on it. I followed the instructions and created a bootdisk using
bare.i from the bootdsks.144 install directory (using rawrite.exe from
linux cd), when i tried to boot the 386 with the nothing happend but the
letter 'L' then 'I' appeared and than nothing else?? what am I doing
wrong??
