Problem detecting CD

Post by ZHANG WEN PIAN PA » Thu, 31 Aug 1995 04:00:00

Hi,
I am a complete newbie at Linux, so bear with me, please.
I've used the user friendly "setup" program to install my Creative Lab
Panasonic 2X CD rom drive, which is hooked up to my Creative Lab Sound Blaster
16 sound card.  When the system boots, something like this appears:

checking for CD ...... no CD

How do I fix this problem?  Any other way to setup a CD rom drive?

Thanks for any help you can offer...
