Post by Aman Pate » Sat, 23 Jun 2001 01:06:18

I have tried the following rarwrite's

rawrite.exe
rawrite2.exe
rawrite.com

But always i am getting the following error:
Can't figure out how many sectors/track for diskette.

Its not that i dont understand the error message, but it gives the same
error message for atleast 50 disks that i tried.

I need help desparately. I appreciate your help

thanks!

rawrite does not work on Windows NT - could that be the problem?

No, it works for me. I use win2000 to rawrite.

Probably something else, say, bad floppy or else.

I have win2k too, but it gives me the error. The disk spins for about less
than 2 seconds, and the error pops up.

Once again, i tried 50 floppies!!! and 20 of them were brand new out of box.

aahhh, leemme bbooot to DOS prompt and do it..
lets see

thanks guys!

I was a bit unspeciffic. If I run rawrite.exe on this NT-box, the program
seems to work, that is, something gets written on the floppy.

But the floppy will not work!

If I run rawrite under DOS or win 9x/me everything works fine.

I haven't tried win2k yet.

Best regards,
NKJensen
