"Cognos combines software with Arbor
Cognos Inc. has signed an agreement with Arbor Software Corporation
to combine their software for analysing business information. As part of
the deal, Cognos' PowerPlay desktop analysis software will be linked with
Arbor's Essbase Analysis Server. Pairing the products will mean faster
networks and the ability to access networks from both multi-user
network and mobile offices. The products should be available by the end
of the year."
We are extremely e*d about this. We recently modified PowerPlay to use
the Arbor API and the software is complete and functions well. The
combination of the two products has no match in the industry.
