Again - upgrade from Ingres 6.4 to OI 1.2

Dear Ingres folks,

Thank you very much for your kind response to my
last post about upgrading Ingres 6.4 to OI 1.2. Special
thanks to Roy Hann.

Having some positive feedback, I would further like
to know:
a) Any trouble to migrate Ingres 6.4 reports to OI platform?
b) Will replicator 1.0/02 work between Ingres 6.4 and OI,
     and between OI and OI?

Our current platform is Ingres 6.4/05/02 (to be upgraded
to 6.4/06) and Solaris 2.4 (to be upgraded to 2.5).

If you have the disc space and RAM for it, you can install OI 1.2 as a
peer installation while you are still running 6.4 and check out a lot of
this before you take the plunge.  I did just that for a client back in
March/April.  We found out a couple of interesting things that way, with
no down-time.

Watch out for the OI requirement that there be a space between a
report-writer dot-command and its parameters.  It turned out that some
of our folks had gotten into the habit of writing stuff like .TAB3, and
that won't work in OI.  A little sed and awk took care of that easily.

Can't answer your replicator question, unfortunately.

1. Upgrading from 6.4 to OI 1.2 and 6.4 to OI 1.1/04

Hello out there !

Have anybody made a recipy for converting a 6.4 DB to a 1.2 DB on a Unix
server.
If someone have made a list from A-Z during making this operation, I would
like to have a copy of this list.....

I would also like a similar recipy if anyone have converted ABF
applications from 6.4 to OI 1.1/04 on VAX/VMS .....
