Does anybody have some code or an application that can do alpha - numeric
paging? I had an old R83 system that talked to the serial port, dialed and
did all the hand shakes, but now with D3 it doesn't work.

1. Modem control / Alpha-Numeric Paging from Progress
There is something called "tpage" which is written in Perl and it handles
alpha-numeric pagers pretty well (and modem control).
The easiest way (you probably know better than I do) is to call the
program from within Progress.
