"End Of Life Product Announcement" for Advanced Pick

"End Of Life Product Announcement" for Advanced Pick

Post by MindSpring Use » Wed, 29 Jul 1998 04:00:00

Is anyone else concerned that Pick Systems has announced that as of January
1, 2000 they will no longer offer any form of support for AP/PRO (Advanced
Pick - Protected Mode), which presumably means they won't be giving out
"magic numbers" for re-loads due to crashed hard disks, etc?

They offer an upgrade path to their "D3" product, but this means that now
you must have ANOTHER system (UNIX, NT, LINUX) to run your business!!!

Pick Systems may find itself in the wake of a class action lawsuit....
