It's been awhile and I've only had two experiences trying to upgrade
hardware that APPro was running on. The only thing I can tell you is
it is real picky as to what kind of hardware it will run on. Client
had a few superior performance machines in house and we decided we'd
just aquire one and make it the new APPro 'server'. Couldn't get the
OS to install on a couple of machines. Finally got it loaded on one,
but only after we pulled some of the memory out. I don't remember how
much memory we had - a lot, but APPro didn't want to have it all.

You might find some info if you do a search of comp.databases.pick on
dejanews. I believe this topic has come up before and there were some
good responses.

Rob

Zumasys (formerly the folks at JBS) have been putting together PIII
700 systems for me. I believe they can still support AP/Pro systems on
these.
Call Paul Giobbi at 949 369-8015 ext 104.

1. Hardware RAID hardware for d3/RedHat 5.2

If one is about to implement a hardware RAID 1 solution, what do the
gentle readers :-) of CDP think of the following items as they relate
to d3 7.1 on Redhat 5.2?  The controller:  DPT Century (PM2654U2) - a
32 bit ultra2 SCSI RAID controller.  The disks:  Seagate Cheetah
(ST39103LW) - 9.1 GB 10K SCSI disks.  Any experiences with either of
these products?

TIA
