problem displaying 256 color images FPW2.6a

Post by Aquiles Gonzale » Wed, 26 Feb 1997 04:00:00

I'm using FPW2.6a, under Windows 3.x.
When I try to display a 256 color image in a screen Fox generates a GPF.
There is no problem with 16c or images bigger than 256c, or under
Windows95.
Is there any patch to solve this problem ?

Thanks.

What screen driver are you using?  Are you by any chance trying to
display 256 colors in plain VGA (it will only support 16 colors)?

Usualy, it is a screen driver problem.  Try the video card
manufacturer web page - maybe they already have an updated driver.

1. ?? Displaying 256 color images with FPW26

Does anybody have any idea on how to connect to a TWAIN compatible device
(such as a KODAK/LOGITECH/EPSON digital camera), capture a image in true
256 color format (bmp, jpg, etc) and then display that image through the
system???  We have some alternatives that use video cards, but that would
hurt all of our old clients.  Small business would PAY for such an
application.

any help is good help
