It's done the same way on the mac as in windows. FoxPro views the picture
if it's a PICT file - i'm not sure if it can view others. The problem is
that you have to cut and paste the pictures into the field manually!
Unless someone knows a better way.

In Windows, it uses OLE in the General field,  is it done the same way in
Mac, is there a picture
field?  and is viewing done within FoxPro or from an external
application?

bitmap..... onto the screen. Save Screen to <memvar>. Save all like
<memva*> to Memo <fieldname>. You can later restore the picture to the
screen with Restore Screen from Memo <fieldname>.
