Hi Sybase-Freaks,

Sybase is the database of the future (?!), so what about an Sybase newsgroup?

I absolutely agree!  I think there are enough users at this point to justify a separte news group.  Sybase has so far been unable to put up their bulletin board they promised at the last users conference so I believe we -- the users -- should take the initiative to help ourselves.

Sounds great maybe we could get the SYBASE international usergroup to sponsor
 comp.databases.sybase?
Maybe somebody has a point of contact within the user group that could get
 this idea rolling.

I absolutely agree that a comp.databases.sybase newsgroup is needed. I
was thinking of setting up a sybase conference on Bix, but I think a
newsgroup would be a better idea.

No, it's the database of today.  The database of the future is yet to
come, Sybase surely ain't it (yet).

Religious beliefs aside, you should subscribe the mailing list
(perhaps there should be a monthly pointer here to it).  A request

Lots of good stuff there, people eager to help each other through
some of the pain and turmoil.
