Informix are now talking about a new socket API and CallHTTP interface in
Universe 9.6 on the web site and email updates.

I have called Informix here in the UK and sales 'know nothing about it' -
suggested logging a call with tech support. This was done before christmas
and I have not been contacted......

Does anyone out there have any technical documentation in indept reports on
these new tools?

The sockets API and CallHttp functions are implemented at rev 9.6 and
above. We have been working with the sockets API rather extensively for
a couple months now and the functions seem to be quite solid.

I have a .PDF I can foreward if you want to send me a useable email
address.

Thanks for the pdf.

I now have an Informix response. It seems the client 9.6.1 CD had the old
manual on! Also the 9.6 doco on the www.informix.com/answers/ servers >
UV9.6 was wrong on Friday.
