Very Computer

First I am not sure if this is the correct newsgroup since I have little
experience with mdac and databass, if not please point to the place
where I should ask this question.

Simple question hoping for a simple answer.
When installing mdac 2.6 once the files uncompress and it gets to the
license screen its blank. The only option is to cancel out of the
install. I am able to install mdac 2.5 and 2.5 sp1 with not problems but
not mdac 2.6. The install works fine on other machines so I know the
install file is not corrupt. The system is running NT 4.0 sp6. Hoping
for a simple solution since at the moment I can not rebuild the machine
from scratch which is what I would be doing if I could.

Peculiar, I'm running NT 4.0 sp6 and using MDAC 2.6 with no problems; so, it
isn't simply an OS-MDAC compatibility issue.  Maybe some piece of software
has inappropriately overlaid one of your system32 dlls like ctl3d32.dll;
might try a reinstall of sp6.
