d3 linux with redhat 6.0 vs redhat 5.2

Now there's a RedHat 6.0??? Jeez, I'll run right out and upgrade, again. You
know this reminds me of Ultimate in the late '70s and early '80s. I called
tech support there in the morning to report a very minor bug and was told,
"Oh, you have release 123B, the current release is 125J, come and get a
copy." In the 20 minutes it took me to drive from our office to theirs the
release became 128C. The bug wasn't fixed and several new, very serious ones
were created. Later that week I got a copy of 131D as well with the same
results.
The lesson here? Don't be in a rush to upgrade your OS. Be wary of new
releases that follow hot on the heels of new releases. The underlying OS
runs the whole system and if it ain't broke, don't fix it...
