Ingres II 2.5 on Windows XP Pro - anyone had any problems/patch
recommendations? My initial install is giving me errors about locks (but not
straight away!).

It's been awhile before I've tried the experiment again.
Starting the installation as a service, it seems to work fine. i then switch
from my user to the 'ingres' user and I start to get problems. switching
back to the orignal user the problems still occur and I can't use the
installation any more.
The error is E_DM0043 Lock quota exceeded.
This was just a test install on a laptop running XP Pro, so the installation
defaults should be OK. It's not as if I've asked it to do anything meaty.
When I have more time I'll raise a call with CA - I just wondered if anyone
would say - 'ah yes, it happened to me and..'

If you are, then either just avoid using Terminal Service or upgrade to
Ingres 2.6.
