Indexed Sequential File system under threads.

Indexed Sequential File system under threads.

Post by Rudy Van Landeghem SE1 » Thu, 25 Apr 1996 04:00:00

 Hello,

I wonder if someone knows a good and simple Indexed Sequential
File system which supports record locking and works in a multi
 threaded environment.

The goal is to replace our C-ISAM functions on Solaris 2.5 by
this new system since C-ISAM don't work in our multithreaded
 application.

 Sincerely,

Have you looked at C-Tree from Faircom?

See www.faircom.com for more info and an impressive list of customers.

Then leap over to www.highway1.com.au/adsoftware/oofile.html and read
about OOFILE, our OODBMS which sits on top of c-tree and makes life a LOT
easier for c-tree users.

Apart from the published Faircom list of users, we've had some heavy beta
testers hitting on the SunOS version of c-tree with no problems and great
performance ("it's F***ing fast", from one user after running a query on a
million or so records).
