TIGA monitor and FP2.5

TIGA monitor and FP2.5

Post by D:APPLICSWINSOCKKA9QSPOOLMAI » Thu, 28 Sep 1995 04:00:00

I have a TIGA monitor (a honking great 22" monitor as used for CAD as well)
I find it nearly impossible to generate screen code as it builds a (set of)
.TMP files that eat up my hard disk and I run out of disk space before it
gets anywhere near finished.
I have tried with a standard monitor set to 640*480 but the same happens.

Anyone else get the same trouble ?
     What can I do ?

     TIA

Ivz,
I suspect that your .TMP file growth problem has nothing to do with
your monitor.  Fox generates .TMP files inorder to cache portions of
itself and/or your code as your programs execute.  When your programs
(and windoze) terminate normally, these .TMP files should ALL be
deleted.  I suspect that you may be turning off your system or giving
it the three finger salute (ALT-CTRL-DEL).  These are the only two
reasons that I know of that would cause the .TMP files to accumulate.
If there are .TMPs, you should also run CHKDSK/F as you probably also
have cross link/lost clusters!

1. 2 problems FP2.0 & FP2.6

Hi all,

I have two separate problems that someone may be able to help me with.

FP2.0

screen or printer. I need to print a MEMO field but do not know how to
get it to go over more than one line when sending to the printer. (The
screen version is fine as it just wraps around)

FP2.6

After doing an =SYS(1037) and changing the printer to print in
landscape, PRTINFO(1) returns 1, but when the report prints, it prints
in portrait. Why is this ??

Cheers

Steve
