FOXPRO 2.5 .EXE PROBLEM

FOXPRO 2.5 .EXE PROBLEM

Post by cos.. » Tue, 21 Mar 1995 19:38:29

Dear anyone,

I have a problem in building an executable file in FOXPRO 2.5 for
Windows. I don't know what's wrong, if the distribution kit has error or my
program has.

I was able to generate an .exe file without any errors.  But  when I
tried to run it, it just flashes the menu of my program then exits immediately.
I have set the path to FOXPRO for DLL or the ESL, but it still flashes the menu
and exits.  I used the menu generator for my main menu, I don't know if it has
any contribution to the problem or if I had to add any additional environment
settings.

Thank you for giving your time to read this.

Sounds like you haven't got a foundation read installed.  Look it up in the
manuals.

1. set century on problem with FoxPro DOS 2.5 and FoxPro Win 2.6a

I have an application running under FoxPro DOS 2.5.
The client has now desire to upgrade, as the program is filling their
needs.

There is one problem:

I set century on in the application, and that changes to fields to
4-digit year on the screen.
However, it cannot find year 2000 entries in a table.

If I just start FoxPro, with "set century on" in config.fp, and do
"display status, it shows century off.
If I then open a table, it shows 2-digit year.
If I then enter "set century on" in the command window, the tables
show 4-digit year.
This means that FoxPro does not recognize "set century on" in
config.fp.

Note: I have the same problem with config.fpw in FoxPro Windows 2.6a
How can I get FoxPro to recognize set century on in config.fp  and
config.fpw?.

Thanks,

Don Oliver
