I apologise to those that find adverts annoying - this is a one-shot
posting to these groups.

A new book containing 18 case studies on Object Data Management has
recently been published. The 18 contributions were written by users and
practitioners and cover a number of object database products (GemStone,
O2, Objectivity/DB, ObjectStore and VERSANT), as well as isolation layers.

Papers are divided into four main categories:

        1. System Architecture
        2. Applications and Design
        3. Object Database Selection and Migration
        4. Performance

A fairly detailed chapter-by-chapter breakdown is available at the
Prentice-Hall web site:

Cheers,
