we need help on the CodeBase 5.0 xBase Library with Borland C++ 4.0

We have some serious problems by opening more than 7 Tables.
And we have some more problems too. So if you already worked with Codebase 5.0
from ComFood or Sequiter mail me.

You are running into the infamous DOS 20-file handle
limitation!  Don't worry... it's easy to fix.  Basically,
five handles are taken up by your system (with stdout, stdin,
etc.), so you now only have 15 handles left.  Each file that
you open takes up a handle.  That means that the a data file
with an associated index file will take up two handles!

You opened 7 data files.  I bet that each one has an
associated index file.  Therefore, you would have used up 14
handles... you only have one left now!  Since data file
number 8 also has an index file, you will need 2 file
handles.  But, because you only have one left, you will get
an error.

Your compiler includes documentation on how to fix this
problem (that's right, it's not CodeBase's fault).  However,
I suggest that you download the FAQ from ftp.sas.ab.ca.  go
to the pub/sequiter/tech directory.

Let me know if you run into any difficulties.
