Does anyone out there love using a native XML database?

What are the advantages of native XML storage, and what kinds of
enterprise applications are you developing?

I am trying to find out the application developer benefits as well as
the end user benefits for using a Native XML DBMS.

1. Native XML support in MS SQL Server?

I read a document
(http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/commerce/initiatives/biztalkwp.doc)
which says that the next version of Microsoft SQL Server will incorporate
functionality to read, write and store XML.

This really sounds great! But does anyone know what they mean with the "next
version"? Is it a service pack, or the next major version?
