file for iidbdb (aaaaaaaa.cnf)from one of the 9 DBMS servers.
Needless to say, the Server went bye-bye and brought down the whole

Nothing unusual in the log beforehand? This "error" usually
means that the application has tried to reference a file that
is not open, or that an application r/w request has tried to
reference a file not open for r/w (note, the "application"
seems to be trying to close the file). *Might* be worth a
quick look at the file indicated (/ingresdata1/ingres/data/
default/iidbdb/aaaaaaac.t00). A quick shufty in the iidbms.log
(if you use it) may glean extra info, you never know.
Erratic news-swerver! :. post+e-mail to be sure I get your msg.
