Set up your data for import. I set it up in columns so that feilds are aligned
compared to the file structure in dbf. I then go into dbase and use the dot
prompt USE NASA INDEX NAME ....APPEND FROM NASA.TXT TYPE SDF

It should work. Good luck.

Hi, I need help from dBASEIV user. Is there a way in dBASE IV to load an
ascii data file into dBASE IV database (.dbf) file ?

I have browsed the dBASE IV manual, but there is no paragraph about this
subject.
