XML Extender and DB2 UDB 6.1

XML Extender and DB2 UDB 6.1

I am currently working on a B2B project and would like to utilise the
XML capabilities of DB2.  The architecture consists of:

- VisualAge for Java v3.02,
- WebSphere Enterprise v3.02 Fixpack 1,
- DB2 UDB 6.1 Fixpack 4,
- MQSeries v5.1 Server

The details I have read suggest that XML Extender is only available
for DB2 UDB 7.x  Is this correct?  If so, then are there any
compatibility issues between WebSphere v3.02 and DB2 7.x?

Thanks in advance...

You are correct: you need DB2 v7 (despite some misleading info in older
release notes). Websphere 3.02 should work with DB2 v7.

Look at the main websphere site. There are pages that describe exactly
which versions of DB2 are supported with Websphere 3.x
