Probs with DB2/DB2 spatial extender

Post by Achim Haessle » Thu, 08 Feb 2001 18:22:12

Hello again,

first of all thanks to your quick response. Meanwhile, i tried to use the
extender with the db2-clp. Everything works fine, so i think that the
control center hasnt been set up properly or that it comprises a kind of
bug. To lose no further time, i decided to do my researches via the clp.
This leads to a new question: Can anybody tell me how to specify a spatial
reference system from the clp? In the guide, i only found an explanation of
the necessary steps with the control center. Or can anyone point me to an
URL where this is explained in detail?
(I want to specify a spatial reference system with normal GPS-format
(WGS-84, lat/lon-based), scale factor 10^5).

Again, thanks to all,

Greets,
Achim

I'm sorry to hear that because we might have found and fixed your problem in
not time.

Have a look at the samples. There should be a "gseadm" executable. If that
doesn't do the trick for you, read the README (also in the samples/
directory.

1. DB2 Spatial Extender & DB2 for z/OS

Hello!

can the DB2 Spatial Extender be used together with DB2 for z/OS anyways...?

I've read on the IBM Pages, that DB2 Spatial Extender runs on WIN/UX
Platforms (but not z/OS Unix System Services) only, but it is not clear to
me, if it can be connected to a DB2 for z/OS system by means of the DB2
Connect product or not.

Any advice will be appreciated!
