SQL1402N Unable to authenticate user due to unexpected system error.

Made an upgrade with FIXPAK: U469673
After that a connect like:
db2 connect to dbgeos12 user wdsbw using wdsbw
brought:
SQL1402N  Unable to authenticate user due to unexpected system error.

The Permission of db2chpw is:
-r-s--x--x   1 root     db2admin   19576 Feb 28 14:58
/home/wdsbw/sqllib/security/db2ckpw
-r--r--r--   1 bin      bin        19576 Jan 12 15:47
/usr/lpp/db2_05_00/security/db2ckpw

If you're running DB2 on Windows NT, make sure that the DB2 Security
Server service is running in Start->Settings->Control Panel->Services.

-rwxr-xr-x db2chkau
-rwsr-s--- db2chpw

Wolfgang,

try the instance upgrade oncemore:

usr/lpp/db2_05_00/instance/db2iupdt instance_name.

This is my solution for this sqlerror, for me it works.

best regards
