Larry:

I had the worst time of my life with memo field importation--no code from
Borland's documentation or other sources worked. To make a long long story
short, I finally located a piece of code called

memo.zip

which, when expanded, consists of three files:

import.fsl, export.fsl, and readme.txt

I modified the import.fsl to handle the structure of our data, and things
have generally worked out since. The file memo.zip is available via ftp from
Borland at

ftp.borland.com
/pub/libs/pdx/bi/win

E-mail me if you can't access the file.

In ObjectPAL you can open a TextStream and use regular string
manipulation to stuff text with or without formatting into
the memo fields.
