Disappearing data with SQL Server

Disappearing data with SQL Server

Post by Simon Keef » Wed, 24 Mar 1999 04:00:00

We are having a bit of a quirky problem, which seems to be rather
intermittent. The problem is as follows:

When we have a tableframe on scrren, it seems that occasionally Paradox
loses the data it had on screen (although the data remains in the table).
When the scroll bars are touched, the behaviour is eratic, to the point
where data appears and then disappears again. Also, on some table frames,
when one points at a piece of data with the mouse, the data simply vanishes,
as if rubbed out.

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so did you come up with any
solutions? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

1. Disappearing data types in SQL 6.5 Enterprise Manager

Hello all,

Has anyone experienced that after creating a table with a number of
columns, then when adding a new column, sometimes, there are some
missing data types (system and user-defined) in the pull-down menu?
Also, it seems impossible to deselect the NULL column, ie. make it NOT
NULL.

However, the workaround is to simply generate an SQL script, then edit
the script to create the column with the data type and set NOT NULL
manually in the script.  Run the script, and everything is fine.
However, the missing data types still remain missing.  Sometimes, they
come back though.
