passing event from one form to another form [4.5]

I have to forms - FORMA and FORMB. FORMA has a newvaluemethod attached
to a listfield. This method read records from a table into the list.
FORMB , called from FORMA, modifies this table - so know I want to
send an event to FORMA, that the table values have changed. Is this
possible? It should be but I can't find it in the documentation.

Though your posting is concise & clear, it's unfortunately a bit vague:
Do you want flag the change of EACH field, or is a global flag to the
effect that SOME field somewhere in the table has changed?

I don't know the proper event name (if there is one), but wouldn't it
be sufficient to have FORMB return a status code to FORMA? This can be
done with the 'return' statement. This should do the job if all you
need is a "global" event flag.

If you want to flag the change of EACH table field, perhaps it would be
best to redefine FORMB as #Page 2 of FORMA.

One possible way is make the list directly dependent on the table using
the datasource property.  list.datasource="[table.\"field name\"]" then
you don't have to worry about this.

Another possibility would be force a update of the field value by changing
that list field's value or perhaps use open a tcursor on the changed
table and force a resync?
