We are testing IDS 9.4 against linux Red Hat 7.2. Converting DB from
IDS 7.31 on HP-UX.
We have PDQPRIORITY set to 1 for most of our 4gl applications. When
I do an onstat -u, I am seeing multiple user threads (sometimes 120) per
session. This type of high multi-threading does not occur with the same
PDQPRIORITY on IDS 7.31. In my testing, I have been setting the PDQPRIORITY
back to zero. This limits the user threads to one per session. And the
application performance does not seem affected. I am assuming since the 4gls
are programmed inline, with no forking, that using multiple user threads is
not helping.
Has anyone else run into this issue?
