Excuse me for asking, but I'm confused...
You said you'd have a downloadable Workgroup Server for July,1996.

If you go over to the page, there ain't no download. Just a note that
it will be available "July 1996". Now, according to my calendar we're
kinda in the middle of the month. OR maybe I need some kind of special
Web Browser to get it.

OK, OK, just when I think I can answer something technical, I realize why I
usually use the phrase, "I'm not technical but..", before every sentence.
The web site does say that WorkGroup Server is downloadable. And as you
have noticed, it is not. Here is what you must do to get the demo product:
information:
Your Name
Company
Mailing address
Phone Number
She will then send you a copy of the product on a CD. Chiyomi said the CDs
will be available for shipping at the end of July. (like Billy said, there
are still a few days left in the month!)
Sorry about the false start.

To one of the great persons at Informix (among many):
Although you are not on the technical side may be you can relay to
those who are that when you have something downloadable you should
also post it on your ftp-site. (And remember to ask them to spell out
the location on the download web page so we can find it.)
The reason is that I (and many others) arent able to download anything
of any significant size using the Netscape browser. It simply quits
the download after some time without any error messages. This is the
case when I tried to download the "User assistance site" (even the
small version without Doc Library).
This isn't something special with the Informix site, but universal at
every site I try to download more than a few hundred kilobyte from.
In all such cases using a specialized ftp program where an ftp server
have been available for the same download has been successfull.
Thanks in advance.
By the way I still assume that all this super stuff will be included
on the CD-ROM the attendees at the conference are supposed to receive
so those who where there doesn't realy need to download at all.

My opinions are those of my company
1. Connecting SQL Server's Across A Workgroup
Hi,
We currently have 2 web servers, each running MSDE, placed in a workgroup. I
am having problems getting one of the webservers to read the others database
using SQL Authentication. The problem is that although the other machine can
see the other one, it will not allow it to connect to the others database, I
have tried using the "SA" login. It says "Not Associated With A Trusted
Connection" when I try to use access to connect to the other server.
The Machines are connected via there own internal network card and have
another network card with load balancing connected to the outside world.
Does anyone have any idea how to connect 2 sql servers across a workgroup?
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Many Thanks
