Urgent--Web Sphere Upgrade Causing problem to IDS7.31UD2R1

Hi Guys,

Last night the app server has upgraded the websphere
from 3.5.4 to 3.5.6.

Also we are using Informix JDBC 2.21JC3.

What is actually happening is the connections starting
from app server all of a sudden has started demanding
more memory.

The dynamic server allocated 4-5 additional virtual
shared memory segments and eventually ran out of
memory.

Has anybody experienced this kind of problem?

Any ideas or views are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Vineet

Urgent--Web Sphere Upgrade Causing problem to IDS7.31UD2R1

We just ran into a similar problem Tuesday while working on a new load
program.
We are running IDS 9.21.FC6 on HP-UX 11.0, JDBC 2.22.JC2, and Web Sphere
Application Developer 4.03.
Same symptoms.  The engine kept grabbing additional segments until our DEV
box ran out of memory (then everything stopped).  I opened a ticket with
IBM/Informix Openline but have yet to hear back from them.
Any insight from the forum would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Larry

1. ODBC Upgrade Through MDAC Upgrade Causing Insert Syntax Problem

Is the "timestamp_field" a timestamp datatype?  We use the same escape
clause syntax without issue.  The timestamp datatype has nothing to do with
dates or times.  It is a binary number used to indicate data modifications
and their sequence.

Not sure if this helps or not.  Have you ran Component Checker to verify
your ODBC versions and installation?  Can you submit the insert statement
via Query Analyzer with success?
